Fundraising Has Begun!

Fundraising for the Skate and Bike Plaza has begun! We are fortunate to have the City of Bemidji commit to $150,000, the recent Youth Venture/Burton Snowboards grant of $1,000, and financial donations from Cool Threads, Dunn Bros, and others. We've sold many t-shirts, and appreciate the personal donations already given. Now it's your turn!
Our goal is $100,000 from the community and outside grants, of which we have about $3,000 now. We are just getting started, so your financial donation is important. Sorry you have to lick a stamp and envelope, and that we don't have a PayPal account, but we are a very lean organization with no budget and all volunteers! Oh...and thanks in advance for supporting us!

Please mail all donations to:

Link Your Pics & Vids

Post the url or link to pictures or videos you have of yourself or your friends skating and biking. Or, post a link to parks and places you've been!

The blog doesn't let up upload vids or pics in the comments. Too bad :(

This is me at Los Altos Park in Albuqurque, NM after not skating for two years (there's no place in Bemidji worth while to skate).

Skate Park Support

We need your support!

We are on a mission to build a free public skate and bike park in Bemidji, MN. The City has one-time money to spend, but wants proof skaters and bikers would use it. Please take a minute to answer these questions: (*Click on "Post a Comment" at the very bottom of the page to post your info.)

1. Name or username

2. City/Town

3. Why do you think Bemidji, MN needs a free skate/BMX park?

4. Tell us how often you might use the park. Or, if you don't skate or bike, would you go watch or hang out there?

5. Where do you skate or bike now?

6. Contact info (optional)

Check back often for updates, plans, design ideas, and user pics & vids, and pass this link along!

Watch your language on this site!

We need to be respectful and considerate of other people, and we certainly don't need to derail this project because of poor manners.
